Your Gateway to Year-Round Mountain Adventure

Deep Creek Modern isn't just a destination — it's your launchpad for exploring one of the Mid-Atlantic's most dynamic outdoor playgrounds. Whether you're craving adrenaline-pumping adventures or serene natural escapes, this area delivers in every season.

For an up-to-date "things to do" guide, check out deepcreektimes.com — a great resource for restaurants, festivals, Wisp updates, and lake happenings.

Note: Hours vary by season (more closures in winter than summer), so check each website directly for current hours and open/closed status.

Right Outside Your Door: Deep Creek Modern Property

Why leave paradise? Miles of private nature trails wind through your 9-acre estate, leading to exclusive Youghiogheny River access and connections to state park trail systems. Cast a line for trophy trout, wade through cool mountain waters, or simply sit riverside and let the current carry your worries away.

The trail starts right outside the kitchen side door — look for yellow dots on the trees (note: not yellow stripes but yellow dots) and stakes at ground level marking the way. It's groomed down to the landing; from there, the trail to the river is un-groomed.

In fall and winter, the trail is easy to follow (keep in mind…it gets muddy). In spring and summer, it can get overgrown depending on trail use, so come prepared. Remember, this is a natural forest — you may encounter snakes, deer, bears, spiders, and other wildlife. Pants and long sleeves are recommended.

Cell service drops out as you get closer to the river, so plan accordingly and be safe.
