Gameroom

Beyond the huge TV, audio system, and a bar you will find:

  • Darts — Please always throw from behind an agreed upon line and make sure no one walks in front of the board while darts are in play; pull darts out by the shaft (not the tip) to avoid bending them. There are extra tips and darts as needed.

  • Games (board games, etc.) — Please do your best to keep food and drinks from spilling on the games and avoid bending or folding pieces/cards forcefully, since small parts and cards tear or warp easily under rough handling. We expect some wear but help us help you help us help you :)

  • Card table — Please do your best to keep food and drinks from spilling on the table and avoid dragging sharp objects across the surface.

  • Foosball — Keep hands and fingers clear of the rods during play to avoid pinched fingers, and avoid full-force spins/slamming ("spinning" is often against house rules anyway - we see you unc) since hard slams stress the rods and can snap the handles or bend the rods over time. Extra balls if needed are in the bar.

  • Huge shuffleboard table — Don't sit, lean, or place drinks directly on the playing surface, and use the puck/weight gently rather than slamming it, since hard hits can chip the wood or knock pucks off the end with enough force to hurt someone standing nearby.

Climate Control

Thermostats are located in three zones:

  1. Kitchen/Living Room

  2. Hallway leading to Master Bedroom

  3. Recreation Room

Summer Cooling: Please do not set air conditioning below 68°F during warm months.

Fireplaces & Outdoor Heating

  • Indoor Pellet Stove:The living room pellet stove is disabled for safety and is not available for guest use. We understand this may be disappointing—please enjoy the outdoor fire pits for cozy fireside ambiance instead.

  • Outdoor Fire Pits: Two beautiful fire pits await—one in the front courtyard, one overlooking the river in back. Firewood and seating provided.

Outdoor Grill

Setup: Connected to a direct propane line—no tank refills needed.

After Use:

  1. Clean grill grates thoroughly

  2. Turn off the gas line

  3. Replace the cover

Note: If the grill was not clean upon arrival, please contact Railey immediately.

Parking

Park only on gravel areas. Do not park on grass, landscaped beds, or mulched areas to protect our natural grounds.

Trash & Recycling

Critical for Wildlife Safety:

  • Never leave trash or food outside. This attracts black bears and other wildlife.

  • Trash and recycling bins are located just outside the gate in bear-proof boxes.

  • To open the bear box doors, reach in and pull latch.

  • Ensure bear box doors are fully closed and latched before walking away

  • Pickup Schedule: Wednesday and Saturday (no action required—service collects directly from bear boxes)

  • Do not worry about separating recyclables.

Remember: Proper food storage and waste management isn’t just courtesy—it’s essential for coexisting safely with the wildlife that makes this region special.
